The SolarFlare is IP65 certified and so fully weatherproof. Rain, damp and changing temperatures are no problem.

The built-in dusk sensor switches the light on and off automatically. After around 6 hours of charging it runs for up to 8 hours. Fitting takes no cable and no tools, either with the supplied adhesive strips or screws.

Preparation

Choose a spot with as much direct sunlight as possible during the day. The more sun the solar panel gets, the longer the light runs in the evening.

Suitable surfaces are smooth walls, fence posts, façades or other solid outdoor surfaces.

Mounting step by step

1. Clean and dry the surface at your chosen spot so the fixing holds securely.
2. Choose between the two fixing options: double-sided adhesive strips for quick, tool-free mounting, or screws for an especially firm fixing.
3. If using the adhesive strips: peel off the backing film, press the light on and hold for at least 30 seconds.
4. If screw-mounting: position the light, mark the holes and set the screws with suitable wall plugs.
5. Before first use, charge the light in the sun for at least 6 hours, after which it activates automatically in the evening.

Usage notes

The built-in dusk sensor switches the lamp on and off automatically. There's no manual switch and no mains connection. The lamp runs entirely off-grid.

With IP65 protection the SolarFlare is permanently weatherproof and handles rain and damp with ease.
