Setup & Use

What's in the Box

The light arrives with a USB charging cable, mounting hardware and double-sided adhesive tape included. No drill or wiring kit is needed, and the unit is ready to charge straight out of the box.

Installation

  1. Charge the unit fully before first use via the USB-C port on the end cap.
  2. Choose a flat, dry surface under a cabinet, shelf or stair edge.
  3. Wipe the surface clean and dry so the adhesive bonds properly.
  4. Peel the backing from the 3M adhesive tape and stick the metal strip in place.
  5. Press the strip firmly for a few seconds, then click the light onto it magnetically.
  6. Slide the switch to auto to activate the motion sensor, or leave it on always-on if preferred.

Motion Sensor and Switch

The light has three settings: on, off and auto. In auto mode, the built-in motion sensor turns the light on when it detects movement nearby and switches it off again once the area is still. The sensor only works in a completely dark environment, so it will not trigger reliably in a room with ambient daylight or other lighting.

Placement Advice

The 20 cm length suits small cabinets, shelves or a bedside shelf. The 40 cm option fits standard cabinet runs, wardrobe shelves and stair sections, while the 60 cm length is better suited to wider cabinets, long bookshelves or a full flight of stairs.

Care and Cleaning

Turn off the light and let it sit before cleaning. Wipe the aluminium and ABS body with a dry cloth to remove dust and marks. Keep water and cleaning solvents away from the USB charging port.

The light is made from aluminium and ABS, finished in silver or black to blend into most cabinetry. It comes in three lengths, 20 cm, 40 cm and 60 cm, so you can match it to a narrow shelf or a full cabinet run.

Choose between a clean white or a warm white glow to suit the room. The built-in USB rechargeable battery means there's no mains socket to find and no bulbs to replace.

A simple switch lets you choose always on, off, or automatic motion sensing. The sensor only works in a fully dark space, so it is best suited to enclosed cabinets, cupboards and shaded stairwells rather than naturally lit rooms.
