The Glass Pendant Ceiling Light That Transforms a Room Instantly

You know the moment you walk into a room and the lighting just works. The warmth, the geometry, the way it draws the eye upward without trying too hard. That is exactly what a well-chosen bauhaus pendant light does.

This glass pendant ceiling light takes its cues from the Bauhaus movement, pairing geometric precision with a quietly artistic edge. It turns an ordinary ceiling into the centrepiece of the room.

Whether you lean towards minimalist pendant lamp styling or something closer to an art deco glass hanging light, this piece sits beautifully at that intersection of form and function.

Built to Last, Designed to Impress

Crafted from high-quality glass with a sturdy metal frame, this light diffuses a warm, even glow that flatters any space. It fits a standard E27 bulb socket and is compatible with LED, halogen, and energy-saving bulbs.

Rated at 220V to 240V with a maximum of 60W, it suits living rooms, dining areas, bedrooms, and hallways alike. Available in several sizes and finishes, you can choose the version that fits your space perfectly.

Installation instructions

Before You Begin

This pendant light requires hardwired ceiling installation. If you are not confident working with mains wiring, please consult a qualified electrician. The fitting operates on 220V to 240V and supports a maximum bulb wattage of 60W.

The lamp uses an E27 screw cap fitting, compatible with LED, halogen, and energy-saving bulbs. We recommend an LED bulb to keep running costs low and heat output minimal.

Installation Steps

1. Switch off the power at the mains before touching any ceiling wiring.
2. Fix the ceiling canopy bracket securely to a ceiling joist or suitable wall plug, ensuring it can bear the weight of the fitting.
3. Connect the pendant cable to your ceiling wiring — live to live, neutral to neutral, and earth to earth. Follow current UK wiring regulations.
4. Thread the cable through the canopy and attach the canopy to the bracket to conceal the wiring neatly.
5. Adjust the hanging height by shortening or lengthening the cable as needed. Over a dining table, a drop that positions the shade roughly 70 to 80 cm above the surface works well for most rooms.
6. Screw in your chosen E27 bulb, restore power at the mains, and test the light.

Placement Tips

This pendant suits dining areas, living rooms, and hallways equally well. Its geometric glass design draws the eye, so position it where it can be appreciated as a focal point rather than tucked into a corner.

For open-plan spaces, consider hanging two or three pendants in a row above a kitchen island or long dining table for a striking, cohesive look.

Cleaning & Care

Always switch off and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning. Wipe the glass shade with a soft, dry or lightly dampened cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the glass surface.

Clean the metal frame with a dry microfibre cloth to maintain its finish. Do not use chemical sprays directly on the fitting.
