What You Will Need

This ceiling light requires hardwiring to a standard ceiling rose. You will need a qualified electrician if you are not confident working with mains wiring. Make sure the power is switched off at the consumer unit before you begin.

Ceiling Mounting

1. Switch off the mains supply at the consumer unit and confirm the circuit is dead before touching any wiring.
2. Hold the fitting against the ceiling at your chosen position and mark the fixing points. The base measures 17 cm square, so check you have a clear, flat surface around the mounting area.
3. Drill and plug the fixing points as required for your ceiling type. Use fixings rated for the weight of the fitting.
4. Connect the live, neutral and earth wires to the corresponding terminals following the wiring diagram supplied with the light.
5. Secure the base plate to the ceiling and ensure it sits flush. Attach the crystal glass cover by aligning it carefully and fastening as instructed.
6. Fit an E27 bulb of your choice. A warm-white bulb will create a cosy atmosphere, while a cooler daylight bulb suits home offices and workspaces.
7. Restore power at the consumer unit and test the light before replacing any ceiling access panels.
