Setup & Care

What's in the Box

The sconce arrives with its mounting plate and fixing hardware, along with installation instructions. A bulb is not included, so have an E27 bulb ready before you start.

Wall Mounting

  1. Switch off the mains power at the fuse box before starting any electrical work.
  2. Hold the mounting plate against the wall at your chosen position and mark the fixing points.
  3. Drill and fit wall plugs as needed, then secure the plate to the wall.
  4. Connect the wiring to the terminal block: live to live, neutral to neutral, and earth to earth. Outdoor connections must be made by a qualified electrician.
  5. Attach the sconce body to the mounting plate and secure it according to the instructions.
  6. Restore power and test the fixture before fitting the bulb and glass.

Bulb Replacement

The sconce has an open bottom, so you can reach in from underneath to fit or swap an E27 bulb without unscrewing the glass. Switch off the power and let the bulb cool first.

Outdoor Use

The sconce is designed for outdoor use. Because the glass jar is open at the bottom, it is best fitted in a sheltered spot such as a covered porch or under an entrance canopy. Outdoor wiring must be installed by a qualified electrician.

Cleaning

Reach in from underneath with a duster or microfiber cloth to wipe the interior glass. No hardware needs to be removed to clean it.

The sconce is made from metal and glass, with a curved frame that holds the jar-style glass shade in place. It takes a single E27 bulb up to 60 W, which is not included, so you can choose your own warmth and brightness.

The base of the glass jar is open, so you can swap the bulb or wipe the glass without unscrewing any hardware. Just switch off the power and let the bulb cool first.

Choose a single sconce for one lighting point, or a matching pair to frame an entrance with electrical points on both sides. It is made for sheltered outdoor spots such as a covered porch, an entrance canopy or a garage wall, and works indoors too.
