Setup & Care

What's in the Box

The solar pillar light arrives with its LED bulb fitted, the built-in solar panel and battery, a remote control and fixing screws.

Installation

  1. Choose a post, pillar or wall top that gets direct sunlight for most of the day.
  2. Position the base on the flat top surface and mark the fixing points.
  3. Drill the marked points and secure the base with the supplied screws, using plugs suited to the surface.
  4. Fit the light onto the base.
  5. Switch the light on and leave it to charge in daylight before first use.
  6. Use the remote control to choose the light setting.

Solar Charging and Settings

The panel on top charges the battery during daylight, and the light switches on in the evening. Use the remote control to move between warm white, mid white, cool white and red. In winter or after cloudy days the light may run for a shorter time.

Placement Advice

With its 20 × 20 cm base, the light suits gate pillars, fence posts and garden walls with a flat top of at least that size. Avoid spots shaded by trees or buildings so the panel gets enough sun.

Care and Cleaning

Wipe the stainless steel frame, glass and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth now and then; a clean panel charges better.

The stainless steel body resists rust, and the ribbed glass shade is weather-resistant, so the fixture is built to stay outdoors through the seasons.

It is solar powered: a built-in panel on top charges the battery during the day, so there is no wiring or electrician needed.
