Setup & Use

Installation

  1. Pick the ring size by the trunk: the inside opening must fit around the trunk with a little room to spare.
  2. Clear the ground around the tree and level it so the ring sits flat.
  3. Assemble the segments around the trunk and fix the ring in place with the supplied hardware.
  4. Hardwired version: outdoor mains wiring must be installed by a qualified electrician, using an outdoor-rated cable and RCD protection.
  5. Solar version: place the solar panel where it gets direct sunlight for most of the day.
  6. Switch on at dusk and check that every segment lights up.

Placement Advice

The 5-segment ring suits smaller trees and shrubs. The 6 and 7-segment rings give a fuller ring of light around larger trunks, and also work around sculptures or large planters.

Care and Cleaning

Switch off before cleaning. Wipe the aluminium body and glass lenses with a soft, damp cloth, and keep the lenses clear of leaves and soil so the light stays bright.

The ring is made from aluminium alloy with tempered glass lenses and carries an IP65 rating, so it is protected against dust and water jets for year-round outdoor use.

Choose 5, 6 or 7 segments: Ø 42.5, 50 or 57.5 cm, with an inside opening of 30.5, 38 or 44 cm for the trunk. The LEDs give 60, 72 or 84 W of warm white (3000 K) light at a 45° beam angle.

Pick the hardwired version in black, connected to the 220–240 V mains, or the solar version in grey, which needs no cable to the house.
